Bev's Story

I put on a Christmas Promo and Bev was one of the beautiful ladies that answered the ad and felt called to be a part of the 40 over 40 Portrait Experience at 4 am when she had woken in the night.

I am so honored that she chose to be a part of this!

Bev has had quite a journey. As a teenager at the young and very impressionable age of 16 she had gone to a grad party. The morning after the party she was still at the farm where it was. She and others were standing in front of a fire and one of the party goers came back drunk and driving down the driveway fast. The others jumped out of the way but she didn't make it and was hit and pinned to down onto the fire. 

She is a burn survivor and a survivor in many ways.

She always talks about her life before the accident and her life after.

She struggled with how she felt about her looks and often worried what others were thinking when they looked at her. She felt a loss of freedom of just being herself.

I must admit that when I went to drop off her welcome package I  looked at her and trying to see the scars that she was talking about. Her heart is so pure and loving and as we were talking I just couldn't see the scars.

She touched my heart and she is one of my favorite clients to date that has done this.

I would love if more women like her reached out and took a chance and let me capture all their beauty.
